Skinny Clock is a totally free program to add to your desktop, which shows you the time and date, although its main attraction is that it has various skins available to change its look. It even lets the user create and apply their own skin.
Some of the skins in Skinny Clock have transparent or semi-transparent effects. The skins can be created from BMP images and can also include small text.
Thus, having Skinny Clock will stop you getting bored of the same old dull and boring Windows clock.
